Why Water in a Box?
The Box is made from planet friendly sustainable materials (97% from trees). The Box is 100% recyclable cardboard or pressed paper with water based ink (no solvents), no wax. The Carbon Footprint of the Box is 76% less than the comparable size plastic bottle (even including transport from Norway!!!) and if we end up in the landfill, our footprint is 1/30th of the bottle and we will actually bio-degrade over time.

Can the icebox be put on ice?
Absolutely. Because of the aqueous coating on the icebox it can be put on ice without any worries of it getting soggy and degrading the box.

Is the icebox 100% recyclable and biodegradable?
The icebox is 100% recyclable and 97% biodegradable.

What is the cap made out of?
The cap on the icebox is made out of polyethylene. This is the same material I.V. bags are made of. No BPA’s and no health threats.

Is the icebox like a milk carton?
Even though it may have the same shape, the icebox is not coated with wax like a milk carton. Milk cartons are not recyclable because of the wax coating. The icebox has an aqueous coating on the outside which is recyclable and biodegradable.

Is the icebox like the “juice box” type packaging?
Juice box type packaging generally have a plastic coating and are not biodegradable and not easily recyclable.

Doesn’t importing from Norway impact the environment?
Even with production and transport from Norway, our small boxes have a Carbon Footprint that is only 1/4 of the comparable plastic bottle produced in the USA (76% smaller Carbon Footprint – WOW). IN FACT, our small boxes have the smallest Carbon Footprint of any beverage packaging available on the shelf today!!!!!
